Frayser High School 1530 Dellwood, Memphis, TN 38127, 416- 3880 " Preparing the students of today for the horizons of tomorrow"
Frayser High School is one of a small number of schools to participate in the Dual English Credit Program. The Dual English Program is a collaborative effort between The University of Memphis, Shelby County Schools and Memphis City Schools.
The program allows students to earn high school credit for their Senior English course and College credit for their Freshmen Composition course. This sounds great, earning college credit while preparing for high school graduation but it is not quite that simple. The students must have a 19 or better on the ACT and the students in this year's class have a 4.0 or better GPA.
Although The University of Memphis is involved in this program, the students are not required to attend the U of M. The credits they earn from the successful completion of this course will follow them to any University or College they attend.
Frayser High School is one of only three Memphis City Schools participating in this program.
