The Advisory Committee's charge is to bring needs and concerns of their family/floor to the group and to give input on media matters that affect the school community.

The committee meets on an as needed basis.




The Advisory Committee gives input on:

  • Equipment Needs and Equipment Surplusing
  • Curriculum Needs of the Families
  • The Library Budget
  • Review Selection Policy and Procedures
  • Selection of Media
    • In selecting materials for the library, the librarian in consultation with the advisory committee will: evaluate the existing collection; assess curricula needs; examine materials and consult reputable, professionally prepared selection aids.
  • Evaluation of Services, Materials, and Equipment
  • School Activities for Childrens Book Week and National Library Week
