National Sportsmanship Day is March 2

"Star Spangled Banner" was composed by Francis Scott Key in September of 1814, but it didn't become our National Anthem until March 3, 1931 .

The Boston Massacre occurred as British troops fired into a group of protesters, killing five of them. This event in American history took place March 5, 1770.

The Suez Canal reopened on March 7, 1957 after the United Nations intervened to reach a settlement among nations in the area.
