Greetings From the Principal

Welcome to Grandview Heights Elementary School. Grandview is considered one of the largest elementary schools in the district with approximately 700 students. The entire staff at Grandview is committed to maintaining high expectations for all students. Teamwork and teacher collaboration are two factors helping Grandview to move all students towards excellence.

Grandview prides itself with alternative programs for student support. Our Saturday School Program has been in operation for four years. This is an alternative to suspension program which enables students who are disruptive to serve in-school suspensions on Saturday, rather than be sent home during the school day. We are implementing the Accelerated Reader Program to motivate students to read more. And our After-school Tutorial Program provides assistance to students in grades 3-6 who have deficiencies in Reading and Math on the TCAP Test.

The teachers, staff, assistant principal and I welcome our friends and the community to visit Grandview to witness some of the wonderful teaching and learning taking place.
