Graves Recognition

 

  • Graves is in year three of a three-year Reading First grant for $200,000 in program funding for literacy in grades K-3 and Special Education.
  • Graves instituted a homework box night for students. Greater Faith Tabernacle Church and fedEx Freight employees donated supplies.
  • For four years, Graves has participated in the Reading is Fundamental (RIF) book distribution prgoram, which provides free quality books for our students.
  • Our Early Childhood Program hosts monthly parent training meetins to encourage parental involvement in the education of our students.
  • Graves Elementary was awareded a $5,000 grant from the Laura Bush Foundation to purchase books.
  • Graves was the recipient of the 2006-2007 "Partners in Literacy Grant".
