Mission

(Our mission at Hanley Elementary is to teach every student enrolled in our school to their fullest potential in a safe, caring and rigorous educational environment.

We are dedicated to empowering all of our students, parents, faculty, staff and community to reach their maximum individual potential through instructional experiences, collaborative learning and partnerships.

Every student  will acquire the confidence to demonstrate their knowledge through self expression, tests and competitions, thereby, become productive and responsible citizens in a global society.

Philosophy of Education

Vision

Hanley Elementary will be a globally recognized urban school that produces major gains in student achievement, character development, student leadership, parental involvement and community engagement.

Philosophy of Education

It is our belief that our children are the most valuable resources of our society. Therefore, we believe in elementary education as a means of training and developing each child mentally, physically, socially, and emotionally; thus, enabling them to become contributing members of our society.

Acknowledging that all persons have inherent dignity and worth and are entitled to respect as human beings. We understand that individual differences exist among children in affective, motor, cognitive, and developmental tasks, but if appropriate instructional conditions are employed, all students can and will learn.

We also believe that it is the function of the home, community, and Hanley Elementary School to ensure the development and enhancement of the education of the students.
