Mission
School
The mission of John P. Freeman School is to involve all stakeholders in order to make excellence a priority for all students as they acquire and use knowledge, skills, and appropriate behavior to become productive, educated citizens.
Student
Each day, I will make it a priority to lead the quest for excellence in my home, school, and community.
Vision Statement
In the future, we see John P. Freeman Optional School as a motivational learning center that continues to inspire all students to lead the quest for excellence. We envision a safe and nurturing environment where students continue to develop their unique abilities as they work to become productive, educated citizens. We picture our students becoming confident, self-directed, life-long learners who make valuable contributions to their communities. We will continue to create a school atmosphere in which students will experience positive relationships. In order to achieve this, teachers will continue to rely on the important components of our curriculum design and instruction, which are: hands-on learning, the demonstration of achievement, and technology integration. To that end, our teachers will continue to use a variety of instructional approaches to assess and support their students’ learning needs. Also, teachers will continue to enhance students’ learning by providing opportunities to excel in and out of the classroom such as after school tutorials, community service, and extracurricular and enrichment activities. Additionally, teachers will continue to utilize research and implement best practices to develop the whole child. Our students will continue to demonstrate an understanding of school and district policies. We will continue to make all stakeholders an integral part of our decision-making process.
