Lanier Middle School Receives Award
From the Memphis Regional Chamber of Commerce


Lanier Middle School is one of four local organizations selected to receive a 2003 Memphis Regional Chamber Quality Cup Team award. The award was presented at the Memphis Regional Chamber's 7:30 a.m. Breakfast Forum Thursday, Feb. 26 at the Memphis Marriott East on Thousand Oaks Boulevard.
Lanier Middle School received the Challenge Award, which indicates commitment toward the development of quality initiatives, for the "Field of Dreams" project coordinated by Ms. Danette Henry. In sponsoring the Quality Cup Team Award, the Memphis Regional Chamber is honoring the men and women who excel in the pursuit of quality and who share pride in their work, commitment to the team and dedication to customer satisfaction.
The awards were presented by Marc Jordan, President/CEO of the Memphis Regional Chamber, Dr. Nathan Essex, President of Southwest Tennessee Community College, and Dr. Carol Johnson, Memphis City Schools' Superintendent.
