To The LaRose Community:

This letter is written to inform you that the administrative leadership has changed at LaRose Elementary. Most recently, I was appointed as the new Principal for LaRose. Mrs. Tonya Cooper, former Principal will be the Principal for Chimney Rock Elementary School.

My specific work experience and knowledge of the Memphis City Schools will assist and guide us in making LaRose a global school. I have taught and served in various roles of leadership in the Memphis City Schools for the past 18 years. My most recent leadership role was with Vance Middle School as the Assistant Principal. My personal and professional vision closely aligns with what LaRose’s students, faculty, staff, and community needs – A determined vision to take the school to the next level of success by ensuring that students master necessary skills academically, along with developing social interactions for their maturation as young citizens of the greater Memphis and global community.

Along with the administrative team assembled at LaRose Elementary, a new Instructional Facilitator, Mrs. JoAnn McMillian, was also selected to assist with the achievement desired for our community.  She also comes with a personal vision to make a difference with commitment, dedication, and an interest in helping to improve students’ academic growth at LaRose.

It is my hope that you will embrace the new administration at LaRose Elementary School. This administration believes in total support from our community, churches, and adopters/sponsors. Please come by to meet with us at any time that is convenient for you. You are always welcome at LaRose Elementary. Your insight, guidance, and assistance will be acknowledged and appreciated.
