~ Mitchell High School Fall Exhibition Night ~

Parents, students, and the surrounding community came to Mitchell High School on the night of November 13, 2008 to walk through our Fall Exhibition's "Galleries of Excellence".  These Galleries showcased our student's academic and creative works.  The finished product was a published book of poetry documenting each student's original work and reflections.  The book covers were designed by our students.

As you entered the doors of Mitchell, people were greeted with an outstanding display of Native American artifacts.  Our Native American students performed traditional dances as part of the nights entertainment.  Each hall had a specific theme where both faculty and students dressed the part.  Refreshments were served throughout the halls while viewing the various displays.

Our 9th Grade hall had the theme "Know Thyself" and was decorated in African decor.

Our 10th Grade hall had a Japanese theme and the students poetry reflected "Haikus".

Our 11th Grade hall captured the essence of this year's Presidential Election and the voting process.

Our 12th Grade hall was filled with love and romance in the air which represented British Literature.

Our Fine Arts Department transformed the school's cafeteria into live character displays. Students came to life with live performances of their work.

Our Special Ed Department had a variety of displays in the library which captured the talents of it's students with handmade pillows, belts, desk trays, quilts and even a barbeque pit.

We were pleased to have had Administrators from the district walk through our various galleries and enjoy the wide range of creativity that our students, faculty and staff displayed.

Thanks to everyone who made this Fall Exhibition a tremendous success!!!!!
