The Oakhaven Middle/High School Mission is to set high expectations for all students and to provide the environment, instruction, support and motivation to ensure maximum learning and achievement as measured by district, state and national standards in Language Arts, Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

Oakhaven provides a unique situation for students in grades seven through twelve. We are dedicated to helping our students achieve their maximum potential by providing a high quality instructional program that fosters creativity and develops cultural awareness as our students strive to become responsible citizens in a global society. We seek the support of the entire community and all our parents as we motivate our students to understand that the road to success starts here.
Beliefs
- Student learning is the school's main priority.

- Student learning effectively occurs when there is a safe, wholesome and challenging learning environment.
- Students need to demonstrate their understanding of essential knowledge and skills through achievement on TCAP and Gateway assessments, but also need to be actively involved in solving problems and producing quality work.
- Students, teachers, administrators, parents and the community work collaboratively to make decisions and write policies that advance the school's mission.
- Cultural diversity can increase students' understanding of different peoples and cultures.
- High expectations are encouraged for all students.
- Students learn in different ways and are provided with a variety of instructional approaches to support their learning.
