Inaugural Spring Concert Series

Wednesday March 28th, Downtown Memphis

(News Release, Week of Monday, March 26, 2007)

Student musicians from Memphis City elementary, middle and high schools

will be featured guests at City Hall today and the rest of the week as performers in the inaugural Spring Concert Series. Musicians from White Station and Overton high schools, Snowden and Ridgeway middle schools and Brewster Elementary will provide entertainment in the Hall of Mayors

from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., one school each day.

The concerts presented by the City’s Office of Youth Services and Community Affairs and Memphis Area Transit Authority are free and open to the public.

“Having these youth in the Hall of Mayors where the City’s former mayors are saluted is fitting as our city’s future leaders could be among these talented youth,” Mayor Willie W.
