Micro Information Systems is a course designed to prepare students for a career in data processing and/or computer programming. The first year M.I.S. student will receive instruction in two business oriented programming languages, BASIC and RPG on an IBM mini-frame system. Second year M.I.S. students will advance to the most widely used business programming language, COBOL. It is recommended that students be enrolled in or have completed one year of Algebra and one semester of keyboarding.
