Ms. Jamie Stallsmith

Jamie Stallsmith is a native Memphian and a graduate of Trezevant High School.  She's an alumnus of

Arkansas State University with a BSE degree for grades 1-8 and a MSE degree in administration.   Mrs. Stallsmith began her career in education at Woodstock Elementary School teaching 6th grade in 1988. 

She was a classroom teacher for 10 years and has taught all subjects in grades 5 through 7.  She has been

an administrator, working in both elementary and middle schools, with Shelby County Schools since 1999.

Personally, Mrs. Stallsmith is the proud wife of Tony Stallsmith and mother to three college students: Katelyn, Colton, and Cayley Baker.  She loves to go on outings to Overton Park with Tony and their dog, Bleu.

Ms. Debbie Kinard

Vice Principal

     Ms. Kinard attended the University of Memphis where she had received a scholarship to play volleyball, and where she was also a member of the basketball and track teams.  Ms. Kinard recieved a Bachelor's Degee and two Master's Degrees from the U of M. 

     Ms. Kinard has worked for Memphis City Schools for the past 28 years; she taught in the classroom for 16 years and has been an administrator for the past 12 years.        

     Ms. Kinard is a master chef who enjoys gardening and supporting her Memphis Tigers.

 

 

Ms. Melissa Garrone

     Ms. Garrone grew up in Middle Tennessee in a small town near Nashville. Her undergraduate and graduate degrees are from the University of Memphis.

     Ms. Garrone was a legacy Memphis City Schools' employee for 25 year.  This is her 21st year at Snowden, where she has been an administrator for the past 10 years.

     Ms. Garrone has three daughters, two are teachers, one is a practicing attorney.  Ms Garrone has also spent time as a lead singer in a band and acting in community theater.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. Shadonica Scruggs

     Ms. Scruggs is a native Memphian. She attended Le-Moyne College where she received her B.S. degree in Elementary Education.  She has two Masters Degrees, one in Education from Cumberland University and one in School Counseling from Freed Hardeman University.  She also received her Administration and Supervision Licensure from Freed Hardeman University. 

     Ms. Scruggs has worked for Shelby County Schools for the past 22 years as an Elementary School teacher, a Middle School teacher, and as a Professional School Councelor.

     Personally, Ms. Scruggs enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Secretarial Staff

     Snowden's secretarial staff keeps the school up and running each day.  Snowden is fortunate to have (from left to right) Ms. Thurman and Ms. Cole in the front office, Ms. Berry in the financial office, Ms. Sweeney in the records office, and Ms. Braden in the attendance office.
