With all of the books being published these days it is difficult to find a good book!

This student managed website compiles book reviews written by middle school students. The website allows students to post their opinions about the books they have read and search for their next reading adventure!

Snowden teachers developed this project to help students find books that match their interests and reading level.

STEP ONE: Find great books online using the following websites.

                       Amazon.com's 9-12 list of book reviews

                       Amazon.com's Teen list of book reviews

                      Teenreads.com -- 2007 Book Awards     This is an excellent site for finding award winning books that are written for students your age!!!   

STEP TWO:  Write down your top 7 choices on the Book Research Form.

*Use this website to look up the A.R. Reading Level of your book choices on this website by typing in the title.

STEP THREE:  Decide on your top 3 choices and fill out the Book Order Form and turn this in to your homeroom teacher.

STEP FOUR:  After your book comes in the mail, enjoy reading it.

STEP FIVE:  Complete the Book Review Form and turn it into your homeroom teacher. Your comments will be posted on the SNOWDEN READS website by a team of students. Let Mr. Falvey know if you would like to help upload book reviews onto the website.

STEP SIX:  Decide if you would like to donate the book to Snowden or keep it for your library at home. Either way, you need to glue a name plate onto your book.
