Cummins Diesel Recon has provided Treadwell Elementary's students, parents, and teachers with constant incentives and motivations. Cummins has provided free tutoring for students in grades K-6. They sponsored a can food drive as well as provided parents with Christmas baskets. Students received a free fieldtrip during the holiday break to the New Year's Liberty Bowl Game.

Disaster Relief Teams Activated Bellevue Baptist Church has been a great sponsor for Treadwell's students and teachers. They have provided volunteer tutors to work with 5th grade students in preparation for TCAP using Renaissance Formative Assessments. Bellevue has provided teachers with numerous incentive packages throughout the year. Bellevue has also provided Treadwell with the support, help, and volunteer hours needed to create a positive school climate and culture.

Video Professional Development Kara Reeves was invited to take part in a professional development video in literacy. She was asked to share a demonstration lesson utilizing the Scott Foresman Reading Street Basal & ancillary materials to develop the targeted comprehension skills for a 3rd grade literacy lesson. Ms. Reeves is also a member of the Memphis LIteracy Academy.

National Board for Professional Teaching Standards LaShanda Simmons and Shirley McMorris are both National Board certified Teachers at Treadwell Elementary.

TACP News: Mrs. Maclin-Gilliam's class scored 100% proficiency on the TCAP Math Assessment in 2006-2007.
