Principal Milton Burchfield II's MESSAGE

Milton Burchfield II, PrincipalTrezevant Career and Technology Center (TCTC) is operated by the Memphis City Schools and serves the career-technical educational needs of high school and adult students. TCTC is a modern, well-equipped facility, with a dedicated professional staff. The school has a staff of 18 teachers, including one CEP teacher, one guidance counselor who is national board certified, one case worker, two educational assistants, two secretaries, one building engineer and two full time custodial helpers. Assisting the teachers in guiding the students to success are the principal, Mr. Milton Burchfield II and the assistant principal, Mrs. Eleanor Thomas. TCTC offers a wide variety of courses to prepare individuals for employment opportunities. Students also develop skills which enable them to pursue additional educational opportunities.

Individuals who are at least 17 years of age and are not presently attending high school are eligible to enroll in a GED class or a variety of career and technology courses. Courses are offered both during the day and evening. There is a nominal registration and lab fee for all courses except GED. The adult program is staffed with one coordinator, two full-time teachers and a staff of part-time teachers to complement the evening offerings.

TCTC endeavors to provide quality learning experiences to all students (adult and high school). This quality is assured due to the dedication and caliber of the staff. We believe that each of our programs is only as good as the teacher, and we endeavor to provide our teachers with the best resources possible in order to reach out school goal.  Our school goal, which aligns with the district, is “Every Child. Every Day. College Bound.”
