Mission

Trezevant Career and Technology Center is dedicated to the task of providing all students with academic, technical, leadership, and life-long learning skills to empower them to meet the demands of the job in the 21st century.

Vision Statement

We believe that all students can learn under given conditions.  These conditions include all the resources needed for teaching and learning for both teachers and students.  These conditions also include appropriate learning standards and placement when needed. Under these conditions:

  • Students will actively participate in the learning process.
  • Teachers will apply learning standards using appropriate teaching strategies and the latest technologies.
  • Parents will be active participants in school activities and will express confidence in the education of their children.
  • Employers and the community will recognize our school and our programs as among the best and will actively participate in partnerships with TCTC to prepare our students for the workplace.
  • Graduates from Trezevant Career & Technology Center will be successful in their chosen fields and will return to TCTC to invest in the education of students through various contributions.

Statement of Beliefs

  • Students learn best when they are actively engaged in the learning process.
  • Curriculum needs to incorporate a variety of learning activities to accommodate differences in student learning.
  • A physically and emotionally safe and comfortable environment promotes student learning.
  • Students learn best when our staff maintains high expectations for learning.
  • Teachers, administrators, parents, and the community share the responsibility for helping students learn.
  • The school staff needs to focus on a shared vision, goals, and actions to improve student performance.
  • All students in our school need to have an equal opportunity to learn.
