Welcome to Vance Middle School, where we are, "Visionaries and Nurturers Committed to Excellence".  Vance opened its doors in October of 1971, and is a large-scale facility which serves approximately 500 students in grades six through eight.  The architectural design encompasses 3 levels, with science and computer labs, a large capacity auditorium, instrumental music

and other amenities that are student-centered.  It is our goal to provide the best possible academic climate which encourages our students be productive throughout their educational careers.

In accordance with Memphis City Schools, high academic achievement is our number one goal.  Faculty and staff members work very diligently to accomplish the goals that we've set for ourselves as well as our students' ultimate success.  In motivating, educating, and empowering our students, we are continuously learning the most effective educational applications to facilitate our students' academic and social development.

We want you to know that at Vance Middle School, we embrace the opportunity to develop our students, solely, because the responsibility of educating our children rests squarely on our shoulders.
