Jesse Jackson urges youths to move King's dream forward
Whitehaven students join voter roll

America has changed a lot in the 40 years since Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated, Rev. Jesse Jackson told Whitehaven High School students Wednesday morning.
In that era, black men and women were being beaten and killed across the South as they fought for the right to vote, he said as he offered them the paperwork to register to vote.
